– Optimize the memory allocation and configuration to ensure efficient memory management. & This will also help in making sure that the SAP HANA system is configured to make sure that sufficient resources are allocated for data processing.
– Increasing the memory limit will help the system prevent system resource exhaustion.
-Identify the excessive memory consumption with the help of ST04 Tcode to understand and identify the bottlenecks.
-Use the concept of partitioning and compression in SAP BW HANA.
-Data Ageing strategies should be implemented for moving the less frequently used data to lower tiers of storage. This will reduce the overall memory loading.
-Minimize the amount of data volumes in the query and optimize various real-time ADSOs. Also, make sure efficient indexing should be done because excessive indexing can cause memory consumption especially if the fields are filtered frequently.
-Manage data loading, especially if it’s real-time data to ensure optimization. Using delta loads will be the best choice. Batch loading and ODP real-time integration are better options.
-Use HANA calculation views instead of loading large datasets into SAP BW. SDA and SDI techniques are also good options for saving memory consumption in SAP BW.
-Monitor and adjust the memory usage as and when required.
-Regularly remove the unused data or the data which is irrelevant from the system.
-By applying these techniques, you can effectively manage memory consumption in SAP BW on HANA, reducing performance lags and improving overall system efficiency.
