Ans: To integrate real-time external data with SAP Analytics Cloud, we can leverage the concept of SAP Analytics Clouds Integration Capabilities & perform the integration with external data sources & real-time data streaming.
How can we set the integration:
– Integrating External Data using the concept of API – We can integrate many external datasources such as social media platform, market trend reports, competitors pricing feeds etc which allows SAC to fetch real time data from external system.
First, we have to identify the external data providers, then set up the API integrations and schedule the data fetching, depending on the update of the frequency of external data.
– Using the concept of SAP Data Intelligence or SAP Integration Suite so that it can act as the middleware to pull out real-time data from external sources, perform the transformation, and feed it into SAP Analytics Cloud. Through this platform, we can extract the data from external systems, transform it to the required format, and load it to SAC for underlying data model.
– Using live connection concept, we can bring the external data on real-time basis, we can use the concept of live data connection to bring in from the external systems. This way, we can ensure that we are working with up-to-date information and querying the external data sources dynamically. This way, as and when the external data changes, it got updated into streaming data via SAC.
– If we have to use external data, we can use data acquisition methods including web scraping and update the files regularly. Its also easy to combine internal and external data in SAC Models, which make them easy to perform for advanced analytics.
– Visualize the dataset in the digital boardroom using dynamic visualizations like trend charts, sentiment graphs etc. Also, collaboration and real-time decision making become easier from both external and internal datasets.
