Ans: To create an interactive KPI dashboard in SAC which displays revenue, cost and profit for different regions and product categories, also which let users to switch between them dynamically, we can use the concept of input controls, linked analysis and if required, hierarchical or cascading filters as well.
– First, we can use the filters for interactive KPI Comparison. We can use input control for filters which helps in user-driven filtering. It will control what data will be shown in our charts or KPIs. Here, we will use both region and product category dimension for the same. We need to make sure these charts or KPIs are linked to input control via Linked Analysis.
– Now, we have to apply linked analysis which will ensure that the region or category selected in the filter will update all the relevant visualizations and update the data accordingly.
– Create calculated measures, which are optional. This can be used to show KPIs like profit.
– We can use the responsive layout for a clean KPI Display.
– Using cascading filters or hierarchies can also be a good option. Like if our data has region-> country -> city, then enabling cascading input control will help. It will help narrow down the available countries.
Using these ways, users can interactively switch between different regions and categories while comparing KPIs.
